Mission & Legal Status of Sky Hunters Environmental Education

Mission:

Sky Hunters Environmental Education provides an educational experience, teaching awareness and respect for wildlife and wildl places using live, native birds of prey.

Incorporation:
Sky Hunters incorporated on January 13, 2004 in the State of California.

Permits:
Sky Hunters holds Native Species Exhibition permits from the US Fish and Wildlife Service (#2843) and a Letter of Authorization with the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife to possess non-releasable migratory birds. The Federal permit allows for educational presentations at public facilities, but not in private residences or for-profit businesses.

Federal Tax Exemption (501(c)(3)):
Sky Hunters received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS, effective January 13, 2004. All donations to Sky Hunters are fully tax-deductible.

Insurance:
Sky Hunters has insurance coverage for its presentations with animals. The policy is available upon request.
